Until now, the CNN news app for the iPhone has only been available to lucky residents in the United States. But now, CNN has launched their international app, making it available to anyone in the world who wants to follow the leading headlines and stories from around the globe. And, because it’s CNN, you know it’s not going to be like any of those other news apps that are floating around.
Firstly, you can mark your favorite stories and follow them so that whenever there’s a new development, you’ll be the first to know via a push notification. Imagine no longer having to hunt around for breaking news on the top stories that you’re most interested in.
But you can do more than just follow your favorites – you can actually have input into what stories will be featured on CNN. Check out the upcoming assignments, and drop a line with suggestive feedback about the things you’re most interested in and what you would like to see more of in the CNN app.
Plus, you can browse through the CNN app in whatever way is easiest for you. So if you’re in Australia and want to know more about what’s happening with your favorite baseball team, browse through the categories to find out. And if you want to just find out what’s going on in your area, you can browse through regions too. So finding the news you’re really after has never been easier. And, even if you don’t know what you’re looking for, every story is highlighted in bullet points above the detailed story. So you can take a quick scan of today’s top stories, and decide on whether or not you want to know more about them.
The international CNN app for the iPhone is unfortunately, not free. But, it does only cost $1.99 and can be downloaded from iTunes here.
