TWCable TV app for the iPad

Want another television in your home, but don’t have the space for it? Or don’t know where you’d put a TV in your kitchen? That’s why Time Warner Cable has created the TWCable TV app for the iPad. Go online through your home’s WiFi connection and soon, you’ll be able to take your favorite TV shows wherever you want, even if you didn’t think you had the space for them before.

First sign up to be a Time Warner video subscriber, if you aren’t already. Then download the app here from iTunes onto your iPad and in seconds you’ll be watching your favorite networks like Bravo, Food Network, and CNBC News. When you open the app you’ll be given a list of all the networks, and what show they’re currently airing. So if it’s dinner time, take your iPad into your kitchen and cook along with Bobby Flay as he shows you how to make a terrific dinner. Or when you want to keep in touch with the latest news, but also have some work to catch up on in your home office, take your iPad with you and watch the news while you work. Not only does this app not take up as much room as a big TV does, but you can also take it with you wherever you go.

One of the biggest complaints about this app is that while you can take it with you wherever you go within your home, that’s not the case once you step outside of your home and no  longer have access to your WiFi. Despite this, we still think it’s a great app and you should still be able to take it at least outside with you when you want to sit in the sun or keep your eye on the barbecue for a little while.

  1. Why limit your TV viewing to your home? I work for DISH Network and purchased one of their Sling loaded Vip922 receivers so I can watch TV everywhere. I can watch it on my iPad, my Android or my laptop in my home or anywhere outside my home as long as I have high-speed internet. TWC and Xfinity are nowhere near this. So I say skip TWC and go with DISH where this innovative technology can be thriving in your hands!
