The iPhone 4 and the iPad are the current leaders on the mobile devices market, with the first one being the best smartphone money can buy and the second being a universal computer that anyone can use and that can do everything from playing videos, music and games to editing documents and surfing the Web like it was a full-fledged desktop computer. In fact, the iPhone 4 can also do that, with the added benefit of fitting in your pocket.
Of course, an iPhone and iPad are the perfect choice if you want to keep tabs on how you spend your time and money and manage the tasks you have to do every day. Here are just a few of the best task and time management iphone apps to get you started.
2Do
This might be the best task manager you can get for the iPhone and iPad. Not only does it have all the features you will ever need in a task manager apps, it also has a few unique traits that can really help you when creating and managing your daily schedule. For example, you have the ability to add tags, create multiple reminders (including email alerts), filter tasks by keyword, category and other factors, and the ability to use the GPS in order to know when to ring a reminder (this last feature itself is worth the asking price).
Remember the Milk
Remember the milk is one of the most popular and weirdly named online services that let you manage your tasks, To Do lists, small projects and sync them between devices using the apps provided by the service or the online interface. It can remind you of your task not only via the usual notifications, but also through SMS, email and even phone calls to any number (in case you forgot the phone home).
Smart Time
This iphone app has a few great unique features, and is worth checking out if you want a calendar/task manager for your iPhone or iPad. The main unique feature is the ability to automatically manage the time when you can accomplish your tasks. It uses an advanced algorithm to do that, and it’s pretty good at it, too.
Evernote
Evernote is about the only iphone app you’ll ever need for your iPhone or iPad in order to take notes. It allows you to save bookmarks, take pictures and videos and add them as notes, record audio notes, and much more. The best thing about it is that the basic version is free and you have access to an online account to sync and store all your notes in a safe and easy to access place.
Toodledo
Toodledo is a great task manager that does everything you need it to do, and uses the GTD system to improve your productivity and make you more effective. You can use it as a standalone or in conjunction with a Toodledo.com account, which gives you even more features and freedom.
You can literally find tons of other great apps to manage your time, life and work on the iTunes marketplace by doing a simple search in the app. The above apps are all excellent for the task, and you’d be hard pressed to find something that is much better. You should definitely try them out when you get the chance.
