Steve Jobs Dies at 56

Steve Jobs, Apple’s founder as well as the man behind the creation of the iPhone, iPad, iPod, iMac, and iTunes, has died at the age of 56 years.

So far Apple has not been told Jobs the cause of death, although in recent years he was known to fight against pancreatic cancer and get a liver transplant.

“For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it’s been an insanely great honor,” said Microsoft’s Bill Gates, who once triumphed over Jobs but has seen his legendary status overtaken by the Apple co-founder in recent years.

“Now, the death of Steve has further raised such a concern as many investors have feared that Apple will come up with further price cutting measures,” Horizon Securities analyst Benson Huang said.

Taiwan’s Acer Inc.,calls Steve Jobs a “person of great vision, innovation and leadership” as it remembered the late Apple founder’s “huge influence” on the industry.

“The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented.
