PhoneFactor is a highly advanced authentication system which allows users to utilize their smartphone as a security device. Up until now it was not available for iOS but the app officially became available today for iPhone users.
Just like previous versions of PhoneFactor the iOS app will display a one time use password that can only be used when specifically requested. This helps make it nearly impossible for certain accounts to be compromised as the authentication system is constantly changing. The fact that it is finally available for iPhone users is great news as it is something many users have eagerly been waiting for. As with other apps, PhoneFactor is available on the iTunes App Store and it is even a free application so if you’re looking for a security system this may be worth considering although a PhoneFactor subscription is still required for this to be useful.
