Semiconductors are the heart and brains of any and every electronic produced worldwide. They are used extensively in smartphones, computers, and everything else so not surprisingly they’re in high demand. Interestingly enough, Apple became the number one buyer of semiconductors last year which is clearly a great sign for the production and sale of Apple products.
Apple’s spending on semiconductors went up a significant amount this year and it clearly paid off. No other company can compete with Apple in terms of sales and growth so things are obviously working well at this point. If Apple can stay on top they will once again continue to grow incredibly rapidly for the next few years. Samsung remained as the number 2 buyer and all other major competitors came in below Apple and Samsung by a significant margin, indicating that they simply are not growing as fast as Apple has been recently.
