Apple iOS has been trailing behind Android for a while now but it has consistently and steadily been catching up. The latest report released today shows that the trend is still continuing as Apple iOS has once again gotten close to Android in the overall market share.
Thanks largely to the success of the iPhone 4S, Apple managed to make it all the way up to 43% in the last few months of the year while Android was still leading at 47%. Either way it is great to see that Apple grained an incredibly large amount in just a few months and in less than a year Apple will likely be outselling Android once again. Of course the old favorite RIM is still in third in the race but they’re so far behind nearly everyone has counted them out. Hopefully Apple can keep up the innovation to do great in 2012.
