Apple Smart TV

Apple is constantly entering new markets and they are known as being one of the most innovative and forward thinking companies in the world. Now, it is thought that Apple could be planning to break into an entirely new market by the end of the year and this market is the highly profitable TV market. Apple already has the Apple TV device which allows users to stream their content from their computers over to their TV’s and even rent movies straight from their TV sets, but it is now thought that Apple is looking to take this one step further.

The Latest rumours suggest that Apple is looking to launch its own brand of top of the range smart TV’s by the end of the year that will feature much of the functionality of the Apple TV device as well as much more. The TV market is estimated to be worth $100 billion per year and this is good enough reason as any for Apple to enter the market.

Some rumours have already predicted that Apple has put a lot of money into this area already, with the TV due for release before the end of the year, perhaps in time for Christmas. It is expected that the Apple smart TV will retail for around $2000 at the present time and could be anywhere up to 50 inches in size. Apple are thought to have invested $4 billion in this area.
