Guitar World Lick of the Day (Not Free) for the iPod Touch

The app is called Guitar World Lick of the Day and unfortunately, the developers decided to advertise it as a free app. The unfortunate part about it is that while you get a few free samples, the app isn’t really free at all. What’s even more unfortunate is that users really love the app, but are left with a bitter taste in their mouth because they downloaded it under the assumption that it’s ‘free.’

The app works like this. It will send you one guitar lick a day so that you can learn it and improve your guitar skill. A cool concept really, especially when you consider that the licks include the musical genres of metal, blues, jazz, rock, country, and more! Plus in addition to all of that, you’ll also be able to check out some of the most awesome celebrity guitar riffs, and view video tutorials on the licks that are sent the app every day. But yeah, there is a catch.

When you download the app, you’ll only get five free licks, along with a brief guide and tutorial on what you can expect from the app. After that, you’ll need to pay for a subscription to actually get the Licks of the Day delivered to the app every day. That being said, the subscription doesn’t cost that much – an 11 month subscription will only cost you $4.99.

If you love your guitar, and are always trying to improve your skill, then you might just find that this app is incredibly useful. You can get started with it by downloading it here. Just be forewarned that while it may be advertised as free, you’ll need to fork over a bit of cash before getting full use from it.
