Apple Pauses High Def Music Project
Apple Pauses High Def Music Project

High definition music was a major project from Apple and unfortunately for a number of reasons they have now officially put a pause on the program in order to save money and while it is a project in development still it is quite unlikely that we will see anything from it anytime soon.

Apple had apparently been working closely with Neil Young to develop high quality audio and while the program was going well, it was not worthwhile for Apple to continue developing it. Apple is going to continue selling music in the significantly lower quality formats simply because they are good enough for most people; this will likely not affect a lot of customers but it is still disappointing to see that Apple had the ability to release better quality but chose not to.
