About 2 weeks ago Apple announced what they hoped would become the future of education and textbooks. Now that the program has been available to the public for a while now it has become remarkably clear that it is in fact going to be relatively successful. Apple has reported significant textbook sales through their iBook system and as the sales continue to increase Apple has seen increased numbers of supporters and textbook publishers as well.
This is great news because as it gets more popular Apple will likely be able to reduce the price and increase volume sales exponentially. Apple has quite happy with the results currently and they are hopeful that sales will continue to increase and at this point they are not showing any signs or indication of slowing down in the near future. Textbooks through iBooks is definitely looking like it could be the future of education at this point.
