In the current era of smart phone wars the biggest accomplishment is holding the most users and continuously getting the most new subscribers. The other thing everyone likes to track is user retention rate and in that department Apple is absolutely demolishing everyone else. Both Android and Blackberry have been suffering while Apple continues to perform solidly.
Accordin to reports Apple has approximately an 84% retention rate. This means that 84% of Apple iPhone users said they plan to upgrade only to another iOS iPhone rather than something such as an Android phone. This is simply astonishing news as basically no other smartphone system has been able to reach a retention rate nearly this high. Clearly this is great news for Apple as it means the really are doing significantly better than basically all of the other smartphones on the market at this point.
