One of the best things about the Apple iPad, iPhone and other iOS devices is the fact that you are able to get so many applications for them. There are more than 300,000 applications in the Apple iPad app store and there are a lot of downloads of these apps every single day. At the moment, there has been more than 10 billion app downloads and this adds up to some pretty interesting statistics.
It has been found from the current statistics that an average, an iOS device user has downloaded a total of 88 applications during their time using the device. It is said that out of these, 63 of them are paid applications whilst there are a further 25 free. This is as well as the 20 applications that come preinstalled on the iPhone and similar devices.
Although these are statistics, it is thought that they may not be entirely accurate as the company that carried them out only surveyed around 100 people. As Apple have actually sold more than 160 million of their iOS devices, this seems like quite as small sample to base their productions on. However, there are certainly a lot of apps downloaded on a day to day basis and the fact that Apple has actually seen more than 10 billion downloads over 160 million devices says a lot in itself.
