How to Set a Web Page on your Home Screen

Have you ever been frustrated when you’re trying to find that one web page on your iPod Touch? When a gadget allows us to have just about anything we want within seconds, it can be frustrating when you have to open up the browser, tap on that teeny, tiny little web address bar, and then type in the web page that you’re looking for. Now though, you don’t have to. In fact, you’ve never had to! You can easily set a web page to your Home screen on your iPod Touch so that it’s always displayed as an icon that will let you check out that fave web page, with just one tap!

This feature has actually always been on the iPod Touch, but it’s amazing how many people don’t know about it – and it’s so easy! First start by yes, opening your browser and finding that Web page that takes so long to find! Once Safari has found it, look at the bottom of the ipod touch home screen (yes, at all those little function buttons you’ve been ignoring up until this point.) There you’ll find a “+” icon. Tap that plus sign and you’ll be given a list of options including adding the page as a bookmark, mailing the link to the page, or adding it to your Home Screen. Tap on “Add to Home Screen” and you’ll be taken to another screen where you’ll be asked to name the page. Type in the name and tap “Add.”

Then just hit the Home button at the bottom of the screen and flip over to your last Home page (if you have more than one) and you’ll see the web page there just as though it was an app. And the next time you need to go to that Web page, you can go there directly – right from the Home screen on your iPod Touch!
