Many iPhone users have written in telling us of Facebook problems on their iPhone. It’s true, getting Facebook to work on your iPhone can be tricky at times, but there are a few things that you can do to make sure that you can access your friends’ profiles from your phone.
First, make sure that you’re using the application to access Facebook, and not the Safari browser. For some reason, Facebook gets really picky when you access it through the browser and this can make it start acting up really easily. If you want to access Facebook through your iPhone, always make sure that you download the app and then access it from there. When using the app, you also need to make sure that you have cookies turned on. To turn on cookies go into “Settings” and choose “Safari.” Then just choose “Accept Cookies” and select “Always.” This will ensure that your cookies are never a problem and that you’ll be able to access whatever you want from your iPhone.
If that doesn’t work, then go to the address www.facebook.com/iPhone. Scroll down the left-hand side and choose “Remove App.” Do not click “Reinstall app” or “Download app” after this. Once that’s done you should then uninstall the Facebook app from your iPhone and reinstall it. This should take care of any problems you have and you should soon be looking at your Friend’s profiles, photos, and videos in no time! But please do remember, that this process does take a minute – even after you’ve completed all of the steps. Don’t freak out that it didn’t work right away. Be patient, give it a minute, and then see if Facebook is able to keep you in the loop once again, all from your trusty iPhone.
