Got Album Art Problems on Your iPod Touch? Here’s How to Fix Them!

One of the coolest things about the iPod Touch is its album art feature. The album art is the picture that comes up when you’re listening to a song and it will feature the cover of the album or single you are listening to. But, you may have also noticed that when you’re listening to a song, sometimes the cover art will simply be a musical note, or it will only display a blank screen. This doesn’t mean that there’s something wrong with your iPod, it simply means that there’s something wrong with the individual album art. The good news is that, just like with everything else on your iPod, this is very easy to fix that Album art problems on your ipod touch.

If you have bought any songs or albums from iTunes, you can rest assured knowing that the correct album art will automatically show up in your itunes library with the correct song. And even when you load a song into iTunes from your computer, iTunes generally will be able to go back into its own library to find the correct album that shows up for it. But sometimes, something happens along the way and you end up with nothing. Here’s what to do.

First, find the album art online. Amazon has thousands of CDs that they sell, and this is usually a good place to get CD album art from. You can also try a quick search in Google Images. This will also give you hundreds of results and you’ll be able to pull up the art quickly and save it to your computer.

Next, go back into iTunes and choose View, then Show Artwork. This will bring up all of your songs as well as your artwork. Find the artwork that is missing and simply drag the image from either your computer, or from online, and move it over to the album or song that’s missing the art. Voila! You’ve just added it!

That should work for you. But if it doesn’t, there’s another trick you can try. First select the song or the album that’s missing the artwork. Then go up to File and choose Get Info. Here you’ll be able to choose the Artwork tab. Here you’ll also be able to drag and drop the album art from online, or there’s also an Add Artwork button that lets you choose from a location on your computer.

When your iPod Touch needs just a bit of fine tweaking, as is the case with album art, there are plenty of ways to do it. And taking the time to make sure you have all your album art is just one more way to make your iPod Touch so super cool!
