The Apple iPad is one of the most successful products that Apple has ever released and there has been a huge amount of interest all over the world since it was released early last year. However, there has been a lot of debate as to what the iPad actually is. Most believe has classed it as a tablet computer but there is a lot of people that believe it is a personal computer.

If you think about it, the Apple iPad does actually class in the genre of a person computer, simply because of the amount of features and functionality that it has. However, people have preferred to class the iPad in a genre of its own and many other people wouldn’t class it as a personal computer at all. The question is, if the iPad is a personal computer, then what is the iPhone and the iPod Touch? Most of the apps that are available for the iPad are available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, so are these a PC too?

We are guessing that it is one of those questions that does that have a definitive answer and is more than likely down to personal opinion. It is thought however that over the next few years, tablet PC’s will outsell laptop computers as the world becomes more and more mobile. There are due to be many more tablet computers released over the next year or so to compete with the iPad.
