When it comes to the Apple iPhone, it is probably one of the least customisable phones that is currently on the market. For example, Android phones will allow you to do almost anything with them and you can even install android applications that are not in the actual app store. This is something that Apple doesn’t allow you to do as all iphone apps have to be approved before you can actually install them on your phone. Luckily, there are a number of ways that you can customise your iPhone.
The first thing that you will need to do is to actually jailbreak the iphone. This is currently able to be done with iOS5 as well as older versions of the operating system. Once you have done this, you will be able to install the Cydia app. You will now be able to access a variety of iphone or ipod touch applications that you wouldn’t normally be able to access on your phone and they are all available free too. Many of these jailbroken iphone apps will allow you to customise your iPhone in a number of ways including changing images and the theme of the phone to something more custom or even adding functionalities.
There are a lot of free apps out there that you can get on a jailbroken iPhone that will add functionality to the phone and will allow you to customise things. Apple does not recommend jailbreaking your iPhone but if you like customising, then you should do it.
