There’s a common problem among iPod Touch users and the apps that they want to use on their iPod. Of course, the apps are the best part, so we definitely need them to work! Many people first thought that the problem was the Firmware update because it always seemed to happen right after they installed the update. But it’s actually not Firmware that’s the problem. And, even though the exact cause isn’t known, it seems to be a problem with iTunes.
Whenever you open iTunes, it may or may not ask you for your password. It’s when it does ask you to enter it that most people seem to have the problem. Exactly what your password and your ipod touch apps have to do with each other is unknown but if you open iTunes and are asked for your password, there’s a good chance that not all of your iphone apps will be working when you open your iPod Touch. So, what to do about it?
Apple hasn’t come up with a real good answer yet. The best they can tell us is to delete the app from the iPod Touch, download it again, and then try to open it. While this might be very frustrating, especially if you have a lot of apps that need to be downloaded again, it should get your iPod Touch apps to work properly.
There is something however you can do to prevent this from happening. Make sure you turn off all your apps on your iPod Touch when you’re finished with them. Of course, you can’t run more than one app at a time with the iPod Touch and so you won’t be able to do this anyway if you’re moving onto something else. But make sure to turn the app off before turning the iPod Touch off. This will lessen the chances of anything going wrong with the app in the future.
