The world of online dating has been taken to a whole new level with the LatteDate app for the iPhone or the iPad. This app is very simple. You flip through the different pictures that users have uploaded of themselves and if you like the way someone looks you tap on ‘Yes.’ If they’re not your type, you tap on ‘No.’ There are no long profile forms to fill out, no compatibility quizzes, and no questionnaires. You don’t have to worry about adding links that show the things you like most or reading through long lists of questionnaires that potential mates have answered. Just flip through pictures and see who you like, and who you don’t.

So how does all of this pair with you up with that possible Mr. or Mrs. Right? Easy. If you click ‘Yes’ on someone, and they click ‘Yes’ on you too, the app will bring you together. Then you can go grab that proverbial latte or cocktail that every great relationship begins with. Soon you won’t need the app – or any other dating service for that matter – at all.

We must always caution people who speak and get involved with virtual strangers. While this is a very popular way to meet people today, you should always think of your personal safety and consider things such as meeting someone for the first time in a public place and being careful when speaking to people you don’t actually know. And of course, please make sure that you are over the age of 18 (the developers don’t make this a requirement, but we think this is definitely an adult-only app.)

That word of warning out of the way, this app does also manage to break away from simplicity for a little while in order to add some great features. One of those is the fact that the app will prioritize people for you depending on their location to you. So you’ll get to look at the people in your own neighborhood first.

When people are always trying to find new ways to meet new people, an innovative app that lets you meet people directly through the app is definitely a pretty cool thing. And, unlike many other dating services, this one is also completely free. You can download it from iTunes here.
