How to do print screen in Mac OS X?

 

The so-called “Print Screen” in the Windows world is called the screenshots, or screenshots in Mac OS X, you probably noticed there is no “Print Screen” button on a Mac keyboard, and this is a simplified keyboard, and also because it is useless. Instead of hitting “Print Screen” button, you can choose a combination of several keyboard shortcuts, depending on the exact image desired action taken.

 

There are few ways to do screen capture in Mac OS X.

 

Follow the instructions and you can make a screenshot of Mac OS X.

Change the screen that wants to make a screenshot

Hold down the Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 3 and release all

Then use the mouse to click on the screen

Ready. You can see the image file on your desktop. This is a screenshot of the image.

 

You can also make a screenshot for a portion of the screen.

Hold down the Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 4 and release all

Now you see the mouse cursor will change to +

You can start to drag the mouse to select the part you want to capture.

When finished, you will see an image file on your desktop. It is the image screen capture!

 

If you want to display a window for the specific application, you can follow this: 

Change the screen that wants to make a screenshot

Hold down the Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 4 and release all key

Now you can see the mouse cursor will change to +

Press the spacebar once

You can see the mouse cursor to a camera

Now you can use the camera to select which image window

When finished, you will see an image file on your desktop. It is the image screen capture!

 

It is easy to screenshot on Mac OS X right? No need to open a program like Paint to paste the copy from the clipboard.
