This morning Apple announced that they are now officially suspending iPhone sales in China at all Apple store locations due to the reaction seen at one specific store. A brand new store in Beijing failed to open for the early release and as a result the store was pelted with eggs and other items, this did not go over well with Apple as it is what triggered the suspension of sales.
Apple says that they decided to suspend sales due to the reaction in order to protect employees and workers. It makes sense that Apple decided to shut down sales but we don’t yet know when they will be resuming the sales. We assume it’ll be sometime soon but for now Apple is keeping it all a mystery to us for the time being.
