One of the things that a lot of people use their mobile devices for these days is actually keeping in touch with their friends. As the Smartphone market increases, many people have started to use their phones in order to keep in touch on social networking websites. For the iPhone and iPod Touch, there are some great social networking apps that will help you keep in touch with your friends, and here are some of the best.

Facebook: This is a free app that is actually from the makers of Facebook and it is the best app out there if you are looking to keep in touch with all of your Facebook friends. There are a number of different things that you can do including commenting, messaging and even using the Facebook chat function, right form your iPhone or iPod Touch.

Tweetdeck: This app is also free for the iPod Touch and the iPhone devices and is one of the best apps out there if you are looking to keep in touch with your Twitter friends. Tweetdeck has previously been popular on the PC and Mac and is also available for iPad.

MySpace: The MySpace app is one of the few apps for using MySpace on your iPhone and iPod Touch and although it isn’t as popular as it used to be, there are still millions of users. The MySpace app allows you to do almost anything you need on the website.

Of course, there are many more social networking apps around but we think these ones are some of the best, and they are all free.
