In this post, I’ll show you how to fix the floating keyboard on the new iPad. This is a relatively easy fix, that should not take more than a few minutes to complete.

First, you need to enable enable multitasking in your iOS device settings. On the Settings > General > Keyboard > Multi-Touch, you will see a switch labeled “Enable Multitasking.” Use this switch to turn on multitasking; as soon as you do so, try pressing on any of the keys. You should see your screen come up with just one row of keys at a time (with a floating keyboard). If not, it’s time to troubleshoot!

If that doesn’t work, try holding down on the key for more than three seconds and release it — you should see letters start popping up on your screen. Now press it again and see what happens.

If you are still having trouble with floating keyboard problems, there is also an app called Floating Keyboard Fix which will let you turn off your iPad’s built-in keyboard and instead use an external keyboard. It also has a free version for those who don’t want to pay for the premium version.

Another solution which you could try to fix floating keyboard on ipad, here it is:

  1. First, you need to make sure that your iPad is not set to “on screen” and that it has been turned off and then restarted from the home screen.
  2. You can now adjust the size of your keyboard by opening up the System Preferences app and then choosing Keyboard & Text Input in the left-hand panel.
  3. In Keyboard & Text Input, you can now adjust “Input Method” in the top-left corner of your interface.
  4. Tap on “Input Method”, then select “Other Languages (macOS)”. This will change all input methods in your system from English to Chinese or Japanese!
  5. Finally, tap on any input method and then tap “Apply Changes” button at bottom right corner of your screen.

In summary, I found that the iPad floating keyboard was not a problem on the iPad. I was able to use the floating keyboard without any problems. I would recommend that you look at solution that I mentioned above to see if they can help you to fix floating keyboard on ipad.
