This is terribly frustrating – neither soultion worked for me (yet). I am guessing the .cg. tag is regional specific as I would look at shawmail.ek.shawcable.net since I live in the East Kootenay region in B.C.

We need a simple solution here….and fast. I’m almost 70 and would like to use this before I’m too much older.

For Telus Mobility IPhone 4G with a Shaw email account:
1. Create new mail account
2. Select POP (not IMAP) type of an account
3. Enter Name: Your Name
4. Enter Address: your email address ie. user@shaw.ca
5. Enter Description: Shaw
6. Incoming Mail Server:
– Host Name: shawmail.cg.shawcable.net
– User Name: user@shaw.ca
– Password: the password you use to check email from your mail account with shaw.ca
7. Outgoing Mail Server:
– SMPT: smtp.telus.net

Apparently this only works when you are NOT connected to a shaw wifi… because shaw blocks the rogers server…
