To err the human and to err more the electronic devices. If your iPod is not functioning properly for a long time and there are some difficulties using it, you may consider restarting this equipment. Restarting the iPod will sometimes dispel minor faults that might have been there inside the operating system files. You do not require any sophisticated gadget or any other material to restart the iPod. Just follow the simple ways that are written below and the phone will restart again. The process is special for different types of iPods. Here are the different processes –
For the fifth generation iPods, iPod Nanos, iPod Minis and other iPods with a click wheel

Press and hold the ‘Home’ button together with the button placed on the top right corner of your phone. Hold them jointly until the phone switches off itself and restarts.
For the other iPods not mentioned in the previous options, the process of restarting is –

You have to move the ‘Hold’ switch to the ‘Lock’ position and then to the ‘Unlock’ position. If it is in locked position, you will see orange color below the button. Press and hold the ‘Menu’ and the ‘OK’ buttons together until the Apple™ Logo appears. The iPod will automatically restart.
For the iPod Touch device –

You have to move the ‘Hold’ switch to the ‘Lock’ position and then to the ‘Unlock’ position. Press and hold the ‘Menu’ button and the ‘Play/pause’ buttons together for about 10 seconds or until the Apple™ Logo appears. The iPod touch will restart.
If you find that the process is taking too long, consider attaching the power adapter cable and connect it to the AC.
The iPod name and the Apple logo will appear for a short time if you have successfully restarted the device.

ok my ipod touch has shit itself and its just a black screen it only shows the ipod symbol ive done everything that i have read, the screen goes black but then the symbol pops up and its the same can anyone help me??
