An iPod touch is custom built for understanding the software supplied by the Apple® Inc. But that makes the limitations for its usage. You can not make use of the gadget entirely. You have to depend upon the mother company for all its need. So, if there is something that can enable us to use iPod touch the way we want to? Computer gigs have made the answer.

They can install a unique application to your iPod touch and the device will understand all other third party applications. This is called ‘jailbroken’ iPod touch. When your iPod touch is successfully ‘jailbroken’, you can install an array of other popular applications that you are used to run on your cellular phone. Greetings…

I am here in ireland. I recently purchased a 16GB iTouch. Love it. Works fine. I went to Ziphone….and J-broke the iTouch…Fine. I did this for the simple reason that I would really like to have to Mail and Maps applications on the unit. I click the “newly” added INSTALLER icon on the Homescreen. The list is long….All packages…Recent packages…etc etc etc ….but there is NO mail OR map application there….Am I doing something wrong?…Please help if you can…otherwise…should I just go back and restore the iTouch software and forget about it?….Regards..Richard. Cheers…

    Hi Richard,

I heard that ziphone not support an Itouch or Ipod touch, you could try to use another application for your 16 gb itouch. Have you try the apps from this site? add repo.applerepo.com as a source in the Installer.app of your iPod Touch and see it’s work for your iTouch or not. or you could check these discussion on Ipod Touch 8 Gb or 16 Gb:

To get those apps, go to youtube and watch the ziphone jailbreak tutorial by ipodtouchmaster05. If ur touch is already jailbroken, skip to the end, where he will show you some key apps, like maps and mail
