Apple WWDC Event Planned for June 6

The highly anticipated Apple WWDC event has now had an official date set by Apple themselves. According to an announcement by Apple today, the WWDC conference will be taking place on the dates of June 6 – June 10 of this year. The conference will take place in San Francisco as the Apple events usually do and the announcements by Apple are eagerly awaited by many.

This year’s WWDC conference has been the fastest selling conference ever for Apple. It is said that all of the tickets for the event actually sold out in just 8 hours after they were originally release. This is a record as last year, it took Apple around 8 days to sell all of the tickets.

Apple has announced that there will be more than 100 technical sessions at the event this year which will be focussed on iOS and Mac development. There will also be over 1000 Apple engineers at the event that will be on hand to give help on users particular technical problems.

There are a lot of exciting releases expected to be unveiled at this years event which has been thought to be focussed on the iOS and Mac development areas. It is thought that Apple will choose the event in order to release the iOS 5 software update, which will be one of the most major developments in the iOS region ever. There is also the Apple design awards scheduled to take place at the event.
