Apple Patent Granted for Cloud Based OS

Apple is a company that is well known for being at the forefront of technology and they are always coming up with ideas that nobody else seems to have previously thought of and if they have, they certainly haven’t implemented them yet. One of the most recent examples of this was with the iPad device which has revolutionised the way that a lot of people access the internet and use computers. Now, it looks as though Apple has plans to revolutionise the way that we use an operating system on our computer as they have just been granted an application to use a cloud based operating system.

It is thought that Apple will now be working on a cloud based operating system after being granted this patent. The idea behind a cloud based operating system is that the operating system will no longer be stored on the user’s computer and will actually boot from a server somewhere else in the world. The idea is that it will save the user memory on their computer and will prevent there being many copies of the operating system on each computer.

The patent that has been granted will allow Apple to implement this system and we are guessing that it will only be a matter of time before the idea turns into a reality knowing the way that Apple tends to operate. This is an exciting time for personal computing.
