In the past, there have been a number of different ways invented that will enable you to jailbreak your iPhone. However, these methods of jailbreaking your iPhone have been quite long and drawn out and can take a while. Now, with the release of the new iOS4 operating system from Apple for the iPhone and iPod touch devices, jailbreaking your iPhone has never been so easy.
The great thing about this new version of the operating system is that you can use a website in order to jailbreak your iPhone and iPod touch without even connecting it to a computer. The website, entitled www.jailebreakme.com can be accessed on the actual iPhone or iPod Touch using the built in Safari Browser. In order to jailbreak your iPhone or iPod touch using this website, you will need absolutely no computer or technical knowledge.
In order to get started, you will need to open Safari on your device and head to the website. One you are there, you will see that it says “Slide to Jailbreak”. All you need to do is to slide the slider and the jailbreaking iPhone process will begin. This will take a few minutes to complete and it will install Cydia on your device.
You should note that this website will not work with the absolute latest version of the iOS4 software. You will need version 4.0.1 at the latest in order to use this website as Apple have since fixed a bug in the software that allowed this update.
